Jonathan Clark, LMT, Rolfing

Licensed Massage Therapist (Conifer location only)

Jonathan is a graduate from Rutgers University and from two different massage therapy/bodywork programs from The Institute for Therapeutic Massage, and from The Rolf Institute of Structural Integration.

Jonathan is originally from Somerset, New Jersey. In his former career, he worked in construction on elevators in New York, which was extremely hard on his body; it was there that he was introduced to the benefits of massage and Rolfing. In 2020, Jonathan, his wife, and his dog moved to Conifer to enjoy the slower mountain life. He enjoys motorcycles and music, including playing the drums/congas. He is currently a student at ITEA Acupuncture School in Louisville, Colorado, for Five-Element style Acupuncture, graduating in 2028.

He has specialized in Rolfing since 2012, which is helpful for very specific pains in the body, including deeply intertwined emotional/bodily pains.

Rolfing® Structural Integration is a highly specialized form of bodywork that focuses on the body’s connective tissue system (fascia) — the web-like network that surrounds and supports muscles, joints, and organs. Over time, stress, injuries, repetitive movements, and emotional experiences can create holding patterns and restrictions in this tissue, leading to chronic tension, misalignment, and pain.

Unlike traditional massage, which often focuses on muscle relaxation, Rolfing works with the entire structural system of the body. The goal is to improve alignment, restore natural movement patterns, and create lasting change rather than temporary relief.

Since 2012, Jonathan has used Rolfing to help clients:

  • Address chronic neck, back, hip, and shoulder pain

  • Improve posture and structural balance

  • Increase mobility and range of motion

  • Release long-standing tension patterns

  • Work through deeply intertwined physical and emotional holding

Because fascia is richly connected to the nervous system, Rolfing can sometimes access areas where emotional stress has been stored in the body. Clients often report not only improved physical comfort but also a greater sense of ease, groundedness, and embodiment.

Sessions typically include movement assessment, hands-on fascial work, and postural education. Rolfing is often delivered as a progressive series of sessions (commonly known as the “Ten Series”), though individual sessions can also be tailored to address specific concerns.

Jonathan’s approach is thoughtful, precise, and deeply attentive. He works collaboratively with clients to create sustainable structural change that supports long-term wellness — whether the goal is pain relief, athletic performance, recovery from stress, or deeper body awareness.
